PARQUE HOLANDES
Parque Holandes is an urbanisation on the east coast road and is situated between Puerto del Rosario, and the busy main resort town of Corralejo.
Parque Holandes has a large restaurant, Don Pepe, on the junction with the main road about 10 minutes walk away.whrer menu is varied and ice gold is served in ice cold glass,have a go at the minigolf.
About five minutes walk in the opposite direction, there are two bar/restaurants. One is Le Piccolo which serves drinks and snacks and the other is Don Benito which serves the most fantastic meals !!

Around the corner is the new comprehensively stocked Supermercado Alvarez selling everything you could possibly need including hot bread straight from the oven ! They are open from 8.00am to 11.pm seven days a week (no siesta!!)
Around the next corner is the Italian Jazz Café which serves mainly pasta dishes with wine and music.
Other facilities close by include the Centro Mirak which has a swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, turkish bath, beauty salon and five different types of hydro massage ( as well as the conventional massage).

Although Parque Holandes is close to the sea at El Jablito, there are no beaches nearby. El Jablito is rocky and is used by some of the scuba and deep-sea diving schools. However, a mile-and-a-half to the north is the commencement of the National Parc of Dunes or "Grandes Playas", some of the best beaches in Europe with nearly seven miles of fine, white sand, spectacular sand dunes and turquoise seas leading all the way to Corralejo. The most difficult decision is which part to these fabulous beaches to use but with miles of uninterrupted sand you can be either dressed or "au naturel", completely alone or with others, the choice is yours.
A half hourly bus service (main road bus stop) stops at various beaches and Corralejo in a northerly direction and at Puerto del Rosario in a southerly direction.
Personally, we consider car hire to be essential for exploring the island, more easily accessing the excellent variety of shops, restaurants and bars in Corralejo.,and geting to flag beach 8 mins by car.
